Sant Lluís

Sant Lluís

Sant Lluis, MenorcaSituated in the south eastern corner of the island, the municipality of Sant Lluís encompasses the small town of Sant Lluís itself, the surrounding villages of Pou Nou, Es Consell, S’Uestra, Torret and Binifadet and the coastal developments from S’Algar to Binisafúller. One has to pass through Sant Lluís town in order to travel between the resorts in the south east and the rest of the island, which has resulted in Sant Lluís town becoming a bustling hub for the south east, with banks, estate agencies, supermarkets, a petrol station and many other services available. Sant Lluís town was founded in the mid-18th century during the brief period of French rule and features a distinct, very uniform architectural style.

Punta Prima has a beach of fine, white sand, and crystal clear turquoise water. The channel between the beach and the Isla del Aire is busy with passing boats in summer, this can be entertaining to watch whilst enjoying the beach.

A picturesque, sheltered bay with a sandy beach and flat sunbathing areas in front of the boat houses along one side of the cove. Few facilities mean it remains relatively quiet but is suitable for children. Decent snorkelling along the rocks.

A well maintained resort development. Although there is no beach, one can swim from the bathing platforms. There is an excellent choice of sporting activities. The resort offers swimming pools, tennis courts, a bowling club, bike and kayak hire and a spa. There is also a long-established dive centre.

A pleasant, sleepy little village built along one side of a narrow inlet. The sandy beach at the end of the cala enjoys calm, sheltered waters, making it ideal for children. A hotel right on the beach serves food and drinks, allowing parents to supervise their children in comfort.

Binibeca is the perfect white sand beach with a beach bar. The beach is protected from the boats by a line of buoys. The bar is located on the beach itself. It is perfect for families because it has toilets and a picnick area under the shade of the trees. The ressort of Binibeca is behind the beach, and also Cala Torret, a small complex that has bars and restaurants and small supermarkets.
